Rebels Badminton Club - Cardiff Badminton League Mixed Doubles Champions!

The Rebels Badminton Club history stoops back to the Rhondda Rebels badminton club and one of the strongest badmitnon clubs in Wales Speedbird badminton club.

The modern day Rebels Badminton club are currently based at Abercynon sports centre with club sessions every Sunday 1900 - 2100 and Wednesday 2000 - 2200.

The badminton club has a mens and mixed  team in the Cardiff Badmiton League first division. The mens team finished middle table in 2009/2010 while the mixed team won the division.

The club has a mixed array of levels and standard with form Olympian Richard Vaughan and other Welsh internationals being regulars such as Rachel Thomas, Sarah Thomas Vikki Jones, Piret Vaughan, Gareth Day, and Simon Rowe. At the same time the club caters for amateur level players, as well as encouraging junior players.
The Rebels badminton club is also very close to the Glamorgan University main site which makes it an ideal club for university students.
